Chain grate stokers are technical appliances designed for burning fine fractions of hard coal (culms) in the form of travelling bed. It is applied in all types of water and steam boilers. Their capacity can be adjusted by changing the thickness of the fuel bed or by varying the speed of grate surface travel as well as by adjusting the amount of air supply.

Mechanical stokers designed and manufactured by FPM S.A. feature:

● extended lifetime,
● uniform distribution of primary air across the whole width of the grate,
● the possibility of controlled combustion process with a minimum air surplus in all phases of coal burning along the grate,
● reduction of exhaust loss as well as the loss caused by incomplete combustion and riddlings,
● increasing the furnace efficiency, even up to 97 %,
● reduction of NOx and CO emission.

Mechanical stokers are manufactured on the basis of our own technical documentation.
