
The beginnings of our company's industrial activity derive from the casting workshop "Huta Waltera" established in 1858, where iron castings for the needs of agriculture, building and local industry were manufactured. The following years of the company's activity developed its present character:
| 1913 - | purchase of licence and commencing production of the "Ideal" type mechanical stokers |
| 1927 - | the company was named "Fabryka Palenisk Mechanicznych" |
| 1959 - | purchase of the licence from the English company Babcock-Wilcox for the production of E-70 ball-ring mills for hard coal grinding and purchase of the licence from the German company KSG for production of N90.60 beater wheel mills, designed for brown coal grinding |
| 1961 - | further extension of the company due to commencing manufacture of mills |
| 1972 - | signing a licence agreement with the German company EVT Energie und Verfahrenstechnik GmbH for manufacturing of "RP" bowl mills and beater wheel mills of "N" and "S" types for grinding of hard and brown coal |
| 1996 - | the company obtained the quality management certificate issued by the certifying unit: TÜV CERT, in accordance with the requirements of DIN EN ISO 9001 Standard |
| 1998 - | sale of the sand casting house and termination of foundry engineering |
| 2002 - | the company obtained the quality management certificate issued by the certifying unit: TÜV CERT TÜV NORD CERT GmbH & Co. KG, in accordance with requirements of DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 Standard |
| 2003 - | further stage of privatization |
| 2004 - | changing the company's name from "Fabryka Palenisk Mechanicznych S.A." to "FPM S.A." |
| 2006 - | the company obtained the Occupational Health and Safety System Management Certificate conforming to PN-N-18001:2004, issued by TÜV NORD Polska Sp. z o.o. certification body |
